JAMAICA DID not advance to neither the girls nor boys team finals of the Caribbean Junior Squash Championships final but will contest the third and fourth-place play-offs in both divisions today.

The week-long tournament ends today with the finals and the play-offs. The first session starts at 9:00 a.m. while the second set of games gets under way at 1:00 p.m.

In a repeat of last year's finals, Barbados and Guyana will vie for the top spot in the boys and girls sections.

The Jamaican boys meanwhile play Venezuela while the girls take on Trinidad & Tobago in the third and fourth place play-off.

Defending champions Barbados blanked Venezuela 5-0 while Jamaica lost 4-1 to Guyana in the boys semi-finals. Guyana beat Trinidad & Tobago 4-1 in one girls semi-final while the locals were defeated 3-2 by the Barbadians.

Trinidad & Tobago will contest the fifth and sixth spots while Bahamas tackle Cayman in the play-off for seventh and eighth positions.

The team that finishes eighth will play the OECS in a development game.

In girls action, Bermuda and the OECS square off for fifth and sixth place while Cayman and the Bahamas go for seventh and eighth.
