Some concerns for Blue Cross

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to address Blue Cross as follows:

Please correct me if I am wrong. I understand that your health scheme does not accept members' parents as eligible dependants for medical services. However, you accept members' spouses (married or unmarried) as beneficiaries.

How odd! How many changes of spouses do you allow?

I also understand that there is a law that can compel sons and daughters (biological or adopted) to take care of their parents.

If my understanding is correct, can you consider reconciling your health-care offerings with the laws of the land? That would be great!

I am etc.,
