Great work, KSAC, Town Clerk

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE STANCE of the KSAC to finally make the laws of Jamaica work towards our goal of a beautiful Jamaica is one to be applauded. The Town Clerk, Errol Greene, is obviously taking back our country from the undisciplined among us, which include multi-national corporations, small companies and even churches. It is this zero-tolerance for indiscipline which will eventually have an impact on the roots of crime.

If Jamaicans know that the law works they will have to work with it. It takes someone with guts to make the laws work to produce a country of "beauty, fellowship and prosperity."

The next step is to insist that the buildings which are not functional except as garbage dumps all over the city be torn down and the lots kept clean and beautiful. Then the lots which facilitate dumping should be cleaned by the owners or they be made to pay punitive fines or lose the property.

Some people may need help to get the job done and the KSAC should work with those who are willing. Then persons should be made to paint the unsightly, dirty buildings and the ghastly fences which deface our beautiful country.

Thank you, Mr. Greene. Good job, being done without fear or favour! Let's go all the way and take back Jamaica from the dirty devil.
