THE EDITOR, Sir:
I LOVE a good comedy, especially local comedies and with the upcoming elections, I have had cause to laugh daily. The Jamaica Labour Party and the People's National Party should not be rivals; they should come together and produce this travesty of election preparations as a show.
Not to mention the bright light from the lighthouse NDM, wherever are they? Did somebody write them out of the script or are they looking to return to the show next season with yet another new leader. Oh and that new UPP and coming party, was the inception just a masquerade or can we expect to see them included in the script too?
I am one of the few Jamaicans who can't help but laugh at the hilarious greens and oranges who are killing themselves over a comedy. Okay, I know that the comedy could be real life but I am hearing nothing to indicate that the actors are serious.
For instance, free education (ha ha) and new roads (ha ha) does not exactly fill me up with patriotism. What about the good old raise of pay and the provision of more jobs? Or the promise of financial stability? At some point in time, I will stop laughing when I leave school and can't get a job. That is when this comedy will end for me. But for the time being I will laugh.
My grandmother says 'weh sweet Nanny goat a guh run im belly' I am gone to buy some antacid.
I am etc.,
