A teacher of noble character

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WANT to make an overdue comment about the value of the education I received in Jamaica. Although I had many truly enthusiastic and informed teachers the one that stands head and shoulders above all is Mr. Radley D. Reid.

He taught me math, physics and chemistry and more importantly, life. He also taught most of the members of my family and all of us have gone on to complete higher education and are able to compete in the world market.

Mr. Reids's dedication, thirst for excellence, direction and truly decent character has been a model for many. He has instilled, personal and national pride in all his students and taught us all that there is nothing we cannot do. Campion and indeed Jamaica is very lucky to have him.

I am etc,
