Spineless politicians

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ENOUGH IS enough! Must the Jamaican population be subjected to such spineless politicians? The last person of any backbone has lapped his tail between his legs and crawled back to the JLP regime under its one-man show.

Mr. Bruce Golding gave us hope when he defied Mr. Seaga and formed the NDM; we in the US felt that we might be seeing some real changes in Jamaica's politics. What foolish hope we had.

Mr. Golding has shown that he is only a political opportunist, ready to grab at any chance of gaining power regardless of morals or damage to his
credibility.

How can he now reconcile his plea to the Jamaican masses to rise above politics and exhibit civic principles? Mr. Golding you, yourself, have none of these qualities. You have dashed the hopes of Jamaicans at home and abroad.

We might not have long memories, but we remember specific things like you promising that you will never return to the JLP.

How can we trust you? Do you think so little of us? Please regain your pride and principle and do not allow yourself to be used.

I am, etc.,

C.R. HAMIL
