No sweat for Arnett

WESTERN BUREAU:

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS Arnett Gardens trounced last placed Wadadah 5-2 last night at Jarrett Park in a rescheduled round six Wray And Nephew National Premier League game played at Jarrett Park to move into second place.

The game was scheduled to be played on Sunday but was postponed at the behest of the visitors to avoid a clash with a political rally that was held in Montego Bay.

Midfielder Cornel Chin-Sue scored twice as the champions raced to a 5-0 lead before giving two goals in the space of nine minutes at the end of the game.

Arnett improve to 13 points from their five games and trail only Hazard while Wadadah stayed rooted at the bottom of the standings with just one point to show for their efforts.

Jonathon Williams had given Arnett Gardens the lead after just nine minutes while Jermaine Benjamin in the 41st and Kevin Wilson in the 75th scored the other goals.

Veteran defender Durrent Brown and substitute Conroy Sinclair scored for Wadadah who were losing for the fifth time and have now conceded 21 goals.

The home team showed little resistance as Arnett ran out to an easy 3-0 lead after the first 45 minutes and turned off the throttle midway the second half.
