The world's greatest profession

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IF I were asked to write about the most outstanding career I would write about teaching because the greatest people have come through the hands of teachers.

The teacher opens the potential to help students to achieve.

The doctor who would put you to sleep and remove a malignant growth, was educated by the teacher.

The pastor in the pulpit doing the Lord's work, the police, all of us great or small, must have had

the help and guidance of teachers.

Respect to every career, but do not forget the teachers.

I am, etc.,

Minna A. Atkins-Davis
