57-y-o missing
published: Friday | January 24, 2003

A 57-YEAR-OLD locksmith of Roehampton Close, Kingston 8, has been reported missing since Friday, January 17.

The police say Earl Johnson, who is of a dark complexion, medium build and about 6 feet tall, was last seen wearing a sky-blue shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

The Constant Spring police are asking persons who might know his whereabouts to contact his wife, Beverly Johnson, at 346-0863, or the police, at 924-1421, 119 or the nearest police station.

In a police operation in Arlington district, St. Elizabeth, between 4.45 and 7:30 p.m., the police seized 100 lb. of ganja at a house. A man who was in the house ran through a back door and escaped.

The police said that fire of unknown origin destroyed a five-room concrete-and-board house at Raymond district, Clarendon, Wednesday morning.

Reports are that about 10 o'clock, residents saw the building on fire and called the fire brigade. One unit from the May Pen Fire Department put out the blaze. Loss is estimated at $2 million. Police said the house was not insured.
