CAMPERDOWN'S CAPTAIN Marcus Stewart smashed an unbeaten century but his team had to settle for their second draw against Innswood in Grace Shield A League schoolboy action on Friday.
Camperdown won the toss and batted, scoring 155 for three declared before Kenardo Lambert took 5-15 and Stewart 3-13 to have Innswood struggling at 40 for eight at the end.
Stewart who hit nine sixes and eight fours played superbly to all parts of the ground in scoring his third century in two seasons at the A League. Alton Sinclair, 24, supported Stewart.
Meanwhile, St. George's College's Brian Hutchinson took five wickets and scored 25 not out to lead his team to a crushing seven-wicket win against struggling Wolmer's in their Grace Shield Premier match at Emmet Park on Friday.
In the match, which started after lunch, Hutchinson snared five for eleven off 14.3 overs to blow away Wolmer's for 59 before St. George replied with 60 for three.
Richard Johnson took three for two to support his skipper as only Christopher Hines, 13 reached double figures.
In St. George's innings, Sheldon Grant took all three wickets for 26 runs, but could not prevent his team from losing their second consecutive match.
At Waterford, the home team, Waterford reached 98 for four (Junior Stewart 52; Oneil Wright 2-30) replying to Calabar's 195 for five declared (Wayne Thompson 84, Wright 60; Mark Kidd 4-32).
In A League action, Norman Manley 68 for one (Domaine Wilson 28 not out and Omar Allison 27 not out) beat Jamaica College 67 (Andre Dixon 4-12 and Yaquine Elliott 3-9) by nine wickets at Old Hope Road.
On Saturday, Chris Buchanan took 5-38 and Keldon Robinson 4-27 to dismiss Holy Trinity for 87 before Jason Strachan hit an unbeaten 63, his second undefeated half century in his team's 88 for five.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook bounced back to winning ways when Dennis Bulli 6-16 fired out Mona for 71. In reply Meadowbrook raced to 73 for four, Bruce Hoo-Fung, 29, and Sean Whitthorne, 23 not out, scored most runs.
In Thursday's Premier League action, defending champions St. Jago are still win-less as Bridgeport held on for a draw at Monk Street.
Replaying to the home team's 208 for five declared; Bridgeport were reeling on 156 for nine when bad light stopped play.
Meanwhile, last year's A League champions Spanish Town with 221 for nine declared, beat Trench Town 42 by 169 runs at Spanish Town Community Centre.
At Monk Street, Damion Henry and Oneil Blake, 43 each, all-rounder David Lemmie, 40 and Oniel Morgan, 25 were the chief contributors for St. Jago against Jerry Reynolds (2-37).
In their turn at bat, Lemmie (4-24) and Henry (3-32) destroyed the Bridgeport middle order and only bad light saved them from defeat. Ramesh Brown, 61, and Kemar Mushington, 36 top scored for Bridgeport.
