Company launched to help distribute local produce

A NEW company has been launched to help local farmers distribute their produce.
According to Al Powell, Managing Director of the newly formed distribution company, Goodrich Limited, small farmers in Jamaica do have potential if they focus on the right areas. He said he is determined to assist by identifying and tapping into export markets for these products. Goodrich Limited will offer a wide range of grocery and food products.
Powell was speaking at the recent launch of the company held at the University of the West Indies Visitor's Lodge, Mona.
The Company intends to introduce these products on a phased basis. Central to the operation of the Company will be a focus on customer service and competitive prices. To ensure excellent customer service Powell assures that all employees will be cross-trained to handle all customer queries.
Al Powell is the former General Manager of Industrial Sales Limited, Seprod and has over 24 years of working experience in sales, marketing, operations, finance and general management. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from Barry University.
