Close going in netball leagues

COMPETITION WAS close in divisional league action at the Leila Robinson Courts on Saturday.

Police C registered the biggest win with a 41-6 whipping of Greenwich in the Supreme Ventures Junior League but it was much closer for the others.

Willowdene and De La Vega B tied 18-18, Jetsetters C stopped Speg B 18-16, Friendship B edged New Kingston Raiders 22-21, Alpha B defeated Eden Strikers B 27-23, Jamaica Fire Brigade beat Hagley Park 22-15 while Bellevue got by Progressive Strikers 22-15.

In the Western Union Intermediate League Molynes B got by Leiba Gardens B 27-26, JUTC outran Blades B 30-28 Tredegar Park stopped Alpha A 36-32 while Hampshire had the better of Police B 36-20.

Intermediate League action continues on Thursday with four games, all scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
