Arnett's Neil
HARBOUR View and Arnett Gardens have met so many times that had they been average teams people would be tired of seeing them.
They are not ordinary teams and today at 5:00 p.m. they go up against each other in the Wray & Nephew National Premier League semi-final.
Of the six games they have played so far, Arnett Gardens have had the better of the results with three wins, two draws and one loss. As a result of their superior record against Harbour View coach Jerome Waite, who has led his team to back-to-back titles and is now going for the 'three-peat', is confident they have what it takes to again get the better of them.
"We know what to expect of this team and what to do at the end of the day," Waite said adding "we will be firing on all cylinders".
What Harbour View have going for them is that they have had the better of the last two results having knocked Arnett Gardens out of the Jamaica National Building Society Federation Cup.
Interestingly, both teams go into today's game with almost identical records in their last two games. In warming up for the semi-finals they both registered handsome victories. Harbour View hammered Rivoli 5-0 while Arnett Gardens trampled Wadadah 6-1.
In their following games they both fell 1-2 to Tivoli Gardens and Rivoli United respectively.
For Harbour View coach Donovan Hayles, that was not a true reflection of their team as a number of key players were rested.
Among them were forward Fabian Taylor and defender Damion Stewart, who had just returned from national duty as well as sweeper William Richards, midfield maestro Jermaine Hue and hard man Donald Stewart.
Arnett Gardens on the other hand will be looking to Kevin Wilson, Walter Boyd, Fabian Davis, Jonathan Williams, the hard-tackling Gerald Neil as well as Alex Thomas, Shane Stevens and Oneil Dunn.
Both teams have good goalkeepers in Leon Gordon for Harbour View and Julian McLeish for Arnett Gardens.
