Pro/Am polo tournament starts today

THE FIRST 14 goal Pro/Am international polo tournament gets under way at the St. Ann Polo Club, Drax Hall, today with ICWI taking on Untouchables at 3.30 p.m.

Three teams have entered the tournament, they will play each other once in a league format, the losers of today's match will play Ponderosa on Thursday at 4.30, and the final will be on Saturday.

The ICWI team will field locals Paul Lalor - 3 goals, Troy Brennan - 2 goals, and Lesley-Ann Fong-Yee - 2 goals, along with Canada's Daniel Roenisch - 6 goals.

Untouchables will field locals Shane Chin - 3 goals, Andy Vernon - 4 goals, and John G. Byles - 2 goals, along with Costa Rica's Fernando Gonzales - 4 goals.

Ponderosa will field locals Raymond "Mitta" Rousseau - 0 goals, Ricky Wates - 2 goals, and Mark Wates - 4 goals, along with Argentina's Alfredo Temperley - 5 goals.
