THE CAREER Key, a publication which will help people to identify jobs most likely to satisfy them, will soon be available to Jamaicans.
AD Publications, a local publishing company, has been given the right to publish the Caribbean edition and this will soon be on the market.
It measures a person's resemblance to the six Holland personality types and, based on the results, users were able to identify occupations to consider. Its author is Dr. Lawrence K. Jones, Professor Emeritus in the College of Education, North Carolina State University, who is on a four-day visit to Jamaica as special presenter at the "Get Ready For Work Career & Education Expo" set for Hilton Kingston Hotel today and tomorrow. Designed to give Jamaicans an understanding of the job market and the types of skills and qualifications required for various jobs, the Expo is targeted a students, graduates of high schools and tertiary institutions, parents and persons wishing to upgrade their skills base.
More than 50 exhibitors will participate in the Career & Education Expo, which will also feature an Internet Café sponsored by Ultimate (Ja.) Ltd., where visitors will be able to access the Career Key.
