Kingston Wharves to remain public - Diaz
OUTGOING CHAIRMAN of Kingston Wharves, Rafael Diaz, has assured minority shareholders that the company would remain public and that they would be given the option of accepting or rejecting an offer to sell their stocks to the major investors.

FirstCaribbean pulls in more minority shares
ALMOST 800,000 additional minority-held shares in FirstCaribbean Interna-tional Bank Jamaica have been swapped for shares in its regional parent com-pany in the bank's extended share offer.


Airmail hub to be located at Norman Manley Airport
THE GLOBAL Alliance of Transportation Systems (GATS), a two-year-old subsidiary of Swiss Post International, has finalised an agreement with the Postal Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) to open and operate an airmail hub in Jamaica.


Regulatory standards good for all
JUST AS stock exchanges are asking their listed companies to meet corporate governance standards that reflect the highest standards of ethics and transparency, so too must stock exchanges demand the same standards of themselves.
