THE EDITOR, Sir:
BEING AT the August Fair put on by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) on Emancipation Day at The Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre has strengthened my belief in the greatness of our people and given credence to the fact that most of us are decent people who love and respect law and order.
It is incumbent upon those in authority at all levels of the society to do what is necessary to curb the disorderly among us. I must commend the organisers of the fair and all those who participated in the activities. The performers were entertaining, and Jennifer Small was her usual energetic, fascinating self.
She took audience participation to another level. The audience was respectful and co-operative as expected. It was a day full of food, fun and frolic. Nevertheless it was a rich learning experience.
Congratulations to all concerned. Our people are indeed the best. Keep up the good work JCDC.
I am, etc.,
