MY DEARS, Love is in the air, and then again for some it is not! Now, don't tell a soul that you heard this from moi, as you all know it's very fashionable to file multi-million- dollar lawsuit these days, as some seem to think it's the new Lotto!
Anyway, the story out of Stony Hill, in Upper St Andrew, is that the fabulous Sonia Rickards has moved out of the matrimonial home she once shared with hubby, PNP under-the-radar power-player. She is declaring that the almost decade old marriage that produced two sons is now over!
Now, the beautiful Mrs. Rickards is not saying just exactly what has led to the present separation, only that it is time to move on and that she has!
Meanwhile, love is definitely in the air for the fabulous fashion designer Lilieth Edwards, who has recently announced her engagement to Nigerian businessman Alex Okuonghae. No word yet on just when the couple plan on tying the marital knot though. At the moment, they
are busy trying to decide if the marriage will be on the African
continent or in the West Indies. More anon.
FABULOUS MILESTONES
Then on Friday, the fashionable looked to Runaway Bay, as the simply gorgeous Cecile Levee celebrated a fabulous milestone of a birthday. She looked absolutely drop-dead
gorgeous to boot as she made it a family affair with hubby, the celebrated GM of the fabulous Hedonism III resort, Kevin Levee, and their two daughters Kennedy and Spencer, at their tres chic beachfront villa home over their in that upscale resort neighbourhood!
Earlier in the week however, it was the birthday of the charming Brenda Belding Topping, of Jamaica Grande. She was busy blowing out the birthday candles on her cake on her special day, Tuesday. A small cadre of friends celebrated with her at her Ocho Rios residence. Also on Tuesday, businessman Chris Nakash, the statuesquely svelte Sonja Sutherland, Paul 'Che' Jackson; Ena Jackson-Wray of Mandeville as well as Floyd Nafthalie Walsh, will all be
celebrating their special days as it is indeed, the age of the Virgo and how!
Champagne wishes all around and remember living well is not only the best revenge! It is the only revenge!
NEGRIL REGGAE MARATHON
Then Luvs, people are still a-talking about the simply dee-vine affaire of a fund-raising gourmet dinner and then some that the Negril Chapter of the JHTA staged recently. The absolutely fantastic dinner will help in raising funds for this years' third staging of the now internationally buzzing Negril Reggae Marathon! Now, just in case y'all haven't noticed, the world has got very health conscious and fitness is definitely in. So move over old-time tourism packages as indeed, not only is the New Age vacationer seeking fun, sea and sand, they would like a little adventure thrown in for good measure!
And so it is, that some years ago, a grouping of mostly health conscious individuals from Kingston, banded together under the umbrella of JamDammers Club to promote a healthy lifestyle. They also promote health-tourism with the staging of the Negril Reggae Marathon.
Since its inception, the Negril Reggae Marathon, has earned itself an international field of participants and recognition as a world-class marathon. This year, the event will get under way on December 6. It was to assist with this year's staging of the event that Friends of the Negril Chapter of the JamDammers and the JHTA, threw a downright
fabulous fund-raising dinner that was so fab, the tongues are still
a-wagging!
Hosted two Fridays ago, over there at the very charming Negril Hills Golf Club, the $5,000 per plate affaire was quite a social humdinger and then some. It was staged to a Romanesque theme with Emperor McNeil Pinnock and Empress Nickiesha Myrie being the ruling earthly deities. In attendance was a body of august subjects, saddled with the imperial edict to have a good time. It proved one swell affaire, and then some! Dears, imagine partying for a good cause too, then add a fare that would have made even Caligula go green with malicious envy.
