Kingsley Cooper's 'look good' secrets
published: Monday | September 29, 2003

Cooper

HE IS well-known in the local fashion industry and is one of the most eligible bachelors in town. The nature of his business keeps him in the company of beautiful women, much to the envy of his male friends.

He is 50-year-old Kingsley Cooper, CEO of the Kingston-based Pulse Investments Limited and attorney-at-law. Cooper shares his secrets to looking good past the age of 40.

"I diet and exercise. I don't eat too much grease. I eat very little sugar and lots of chicken, fish and vegetables. I jog most mornings it's not my favourite exercise though, but it will work until I can get back on the squash court (one of these days). I also hope to find the time and inclination for the gym (something I have never done) in the future.

"Unless I attend a function, I go to bed early and get up very early, which works for me. When I travel, I rarely get to exercise. That's a problem, as I travel fairly regularly and it usually happens just when I'm getting into a good diet/exercise rhythm."

He has this to say about maintaining his good looks style: "I shave my head every two weeks or so and have been doing this since 1975. I go to the barber and cut my beard pretty low at the same time that my hair is done. They'll both grow back for two weeks and then I repeat the cycle. I usually choose the Jean Paul Gaultier cologne although at different times it has been the Miyake, Polo or Pleasures... I like loose, unstructured clothing."
