OPPOSITION SENATOR Bruce Golding has served notice that he intends to ask Burchell Whiteman, Minister of Information and Leader of Government Business in the Senate the following questions:

With respect to the Budget approved by the House of Representatives on April 30, 2003, will the Minister provide data for the first six months of the current fiscal year in relation to:

RECEIPTS

(a) Recurrent tax revenue

(b) Recurrent non-tax revenue

(c) Capital revenue

(d) Domestic loans

(e) External loans

(f) Transfers from Capital

Development Fund

(g) Grants

RECURRENT EXPENDITURE

(a) Programmes

(b) Wages and salaries

(c) Interest charges (domestic)

(d) Interest charges (external)

CAPITAL EXPENDITURE

(a) Projects (grossinvestment) (b) Amortisation (domestic)

(c) Amortisation (external)

(d) IMF No. 1 Account

What was the exchange rate at which the Budget for financial year 2003/04 was originally projected and what adjustment has been made to this factor?

What were the original targets for domestic and external loan financing for financial year 2003/04 and what are the current projections in respect thereof?

Will the Minister set out the amounts disbursed for recurrent and capital expenditure to each Ministry between April 1, 2003 and September 30, 2003?

What was the total national debt at March 31, 2003 and September 30, 2003?
