JAMAICA'S MIDDLE order batsman Ricardo Powell has been named in the West Indies squad for the five-match one-day international series against Zimbabwe, a report posted on the web site CaribbeanCricket. com said yesterday.
The one-day series, which begins on November 22, will see Powell who played 74 matches as the only addition to the Caribbean side currently playing Zimbabwe in a Test series.
Powell, a right-handed hard-hitting batsman and off-spin bowler, will take the place of Omari Banks in a 15-man squad for the one-dayers scheduled to run until November 30.
Daren Ganga, who batted at three for the West Indies in the opening Test, will also miss the one-dayers.
