THE JAMAICA National Building Society Open League netball gets under way at the Leila Robinson Courts today.Highlighting play on the 22-match schedule will be the Group E game between former champions Waulgrovians who play energetic DP Raiders at 5:45 p.m.
Jamalco, who dethroned Waulgrovians last season to take the title, are off the island and will miss the first round of the competition.
The defending champions were down to play Hampshire A but that match has been rescheduled.
Whitehorses, Central Links and Magics, newcomers to the competition, will get their feet wet when they play Omega B, Tivoli B and Ebony Strikers C respectively.
Making a return are UWI Revolutions who play their first game against Braeton A.
The competition meanwhile promises to be exciting based on the Open Rally results that saw former champions Tivoli A emerging victorious.
