Support for MoBay Mayor

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I WRITE in response to the allegations of corruption made by Mayor Noel Donaldson of the St. James Parish Council. As one who grew up in Montego Bay, and now visit at least once per year, I am in support of Mayor Donaldson's call for accountability in the conduct of the affairs of the council.
It is a serious case of self-deception for anyone who should have some knowledge of the operations of the St. James Parish Council to question Mr. Donaldson's call for accountability. Like myself, Mr. Donaldson is a Montegonian who grew up in the city and you would have to be very naive not to take notice. Ask any Montegonian who is not one of those benefiting from the corruption. Bring in the Auditor-General. This is a step in the right direction for good government. JALGO should be in support of transparency.
