No experience no job?

THE EDITOR, Sir:
FOR THE past few months, it seems that I've been looking for jobs in all the wrong places. After hearing about a vacancy, I usually apply hoping to get the job and to do the best I can, however, all my job-seeking has proven futile. Having 5 CXC's plus experience as a teacher's aide, I was almost sure anyone would want to employ me in their business or organisation. After applying to hotels, calling centres, airlines and other companies, I was told I would get a phone call as soon as possible. It's been months now and still not one call to say 'you are hired'. My greatest concern though is the fact that the interviewer usually asks 'Do you have any experience in this area?' and my answer is often, 'No!' They then say 'OK, but we would prefer someone who has experience.'
Don't they get it, I'm a graduate of High School not a college or university. To avoid being rude, I often ignore a question which 'pops' up in my head whenever they ask me that question, 'how am I supposed to have experience if I've never been given the chance to work in such an area or how will I get the experience if you don't give me the job?'
Can someone please tell me of ways in which I can get experience without first working? Is something wrong with me? With no money for college and no job for me, I am not sure what to do. I really need help.
I am, etc.,
