Thanks for cruise shipping in Port Antonio

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PLEASE ALLOW me to publicly congratulate the Member of Parliament for East Portland, Dr. the Hon. Donald Rhodd and the Port Authority of Jamaica for the return of cruise shipping to Port Antonio.

Historically Port Antonio's economic success has been linked to its harbour. With the development of Ken Wright Pier and the return of cruise ships, although not on the scale of former years, we are very optimistic about the economic future of our town.

Let me appeal to the business community to do all that is within their powers to improve the appearance of their business places as we collectively do our part to ensure a bright and prosperous future for our beloved town.
