Bob Marley show marred
published: Thursday | February 19, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD just like to comment about the disgraceful acts that I've seen over the years at the annual Bob Marley Day festival here at the Long Beach arena. It's a disgrace. The memory of Bob should not be associated with such garbage.

I call on Rita Marley and other members of his family to ask the promoters to stop booking artists whose performances resonate slackness. Sister Rita stop this madness, Bob's name represents peace and love. Talk of guns and disrespect to women should be shunned. Big Youth, Luciano, nuff respect, that's the message of world peace and love. Stop the madness.

I am, etc.,
