Many thanks
published: Friday | February 27, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS a pleasure to hear that something is finally being done to alleviate the conditions at the Falmouth market. Many thanks to the Minister of Local Government and all the other parties involved for making this happen.

In the meantime, some attention should be given to upper Trelawny as well, especially the Albert Town area. Some consideration should be given to the re-introduction of the Yam Festival in Albert Town. During its tenure the festival had gotten world recognition and high praises islandwide.

Its demise came because of the selfish ambitions of a few persons who would trade the uplifting of a community for personal wealth.

I am, etc.,

NORMAN HANSON
