The birth of the Old Age Pensions Law
AT THE sitting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 25, 1945, Iris Collins, the Member for North West St. James, moved a motion calling for the introduction of an Old Age Pensions Law.

Redundancy payments to become a priority

Kingston blaze leaves 11 homeless
AT LEAST 11 persons were left homeless on Saturday when a massive fire razed a two-storey board house and a section of another house in the same yard on Lissant Street, downtown Kingston.
