'Aristide is safe' - CARICOM to outline stance on ex-president's departure today
CHAIRMAN OF the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Prime Minister P.J. Patterson, said yesterday that ousted Haitian leader Jean-Bertrand Aristide is 'safe and sound' and was still being housed in the Central African Republic.

Government overspends by $17.5b
THE GOVERNMENT has overshot its budget by $30 billion, according to new figures released yesterday, but savings and aid appropriations have cut the net overruns to just under $17.5 billion.
