Eric Delevante
published: Wednesday | March 10, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM trying to find my grandfather whom I have never met nor has my mother, who is now 69! I was told by her that his name is Eric Delevante(Jamaican) and that he came from Westmoreland. The information I have is that he and my grandmother (Alice - a white lady of German descent) met in Kingston in the 1930s where he worked on a plantation!

I would like to find my grandfather or his people for my mother and myself. I am writing this letter in the hope that it will be published. I know this is a long shot but if you don't try you don't get! My mother's name is Leonora Joy Hamilton (Hattie Hill) of Southfield, St Elizabeth.

I am etc.,
