ANTHONY FARQUHARSON led Denham Town Wizards to their eighth win of the season with a 31 point-19 rebound performance to outscore Link Up All-Stars 90-77 in the KFC/Cable & Wireless sponsored National Basketball League at the Stadium courts yesterday.

Wizards and Tivoli All-Stars are tied with the most points (18) and now have an identical 8-2 record.

Wizards started the fourth quarter down a point (60-61) but Farquharson, who seems to have a radar attached to the ball, feverishly hounded it and scored 12 points in the period to help his side take the lead.

"My team didn't take Link Up seriously," said Wizards coach Wayne Bartley, "but we spoke about it and did what we had to do."

Earl Sinclair added 12 points, snatched eight steals and dished out five assists for the Wizards.

Link Up (4-6) were coming off a demoralising loss on Saturday when they were blown away by a 50-point loss to Tivoli. They started out looking as if they were using Saturday's drubbing as motivation and ended the first quarter up 21-18. Rodney James and Geoffery Brown had a team high 22 points and both collected 11 and 19 rebounds respectively.
