A rape victim tells her story
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM in my middle 40s living in the U.S. As I was reading the Star recently I came upon an article about women getting raped. I want you to know that this is an ongoing problem in Jamaica.

Perverted bus crew
THE EDITOR, Sir: PAEDOPHILES, SADISTS and child abusers look normal and act normal, so stories of bus crew who are perverted predators come as no surprise to me.

Take heart, Mrs Simpson Miller
THE EDITOR, Sir: PLEASE ALLOW me space to publicly congratulate Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller for her stance on the fire service financing debate.

Pensioners on a wild goose chase
THE EDITOR, Sir: DECREASE INSTEAD of increase. In or about 1999-2000 we as government pensioners were granted an increase of 5 per cent-10 per cent. The Government granted $200 million to honour this increase.

Pronunciations
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS very painful and embarrassing to listen to the Quiz Masters on Schools Challenge Quiz. Their pronunciations are terrible.

Uplifting documentary
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE just returned from seeing a wonderful film called 'Change from Within' directed by a Canadian, Peter Farbridge, being shown at the Reel World Film Festival in Toronto.

Mr. 'Helmet'
THE EDITOR, Sir MAY I seize the opportunity to commend a certain member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force who is based in Falmouth and works as a traffic cop.

Mother
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WOULD like to contact my mother. My name is Oneil Jackson. I was abandoned on Spanish Town Road (near Three miles) in 1985 when I was about 8 months old.

Moran Family
THE EDITOR, Sir: HOPE YOU can help. I have been trying to locate relatives, Myrna, Joy and George Moran. Will anyone knowing their wherabouts please contact D.B. Whyte at 773 995 0974 or e-mail: regaemama@yahoo.com.
