Letter of the day - Let's seriously assess Portia's ratings
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE BEEN listening to the debates and note with interest the accolades given to Local Goverrnment Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Putting conditions on that tariff break
THE EDITOR, Sir: YEARS AGO, the two local poultry producers "bawled" and complain to the Government that they could not compete with the cheaper imported chicken and that they were being forced out of business.

Violating others' rights
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE UNITED States has done it again!

High-rise buildings for development
THE EDITOR, Sir: THIS LETTER is aimed at trying to give the Jamaican Government valuable reasons on why they should be building more skyscrapers and high-rise office buildings and apartments in Kingston and Montego Bay.

Is this caring?
THE EDITOR, Sir: MOUNT OGLE Basic school located in Lawrence Tavern with an enrolment of 152 children plus seven teachers and two ancillary staff members, was gutted by fire on April 5, 2004.
