THE EDITOR Sir:
THE SPANISH Town Citizens Against Gun Violence wishes to thank Dr. Peter Phillips for acknowledging our request as a group of humble citizens to come and tour Spanish Town. Following this tour, he launched the "Spanish Town Crime Prevention Programme" at Arians Restaurant in Spanish Town. We see a sincere response to our critical criminal situation in Spanish Town from Dr. Phillips and wish to wholeheartedly endorse his Plan for Spanish Town.
When we broke up into workshops at that meeting, citizens identified challenging areas in this town and provided the Minister with that. When he gives us our directives, let it not stop there, but please come together and allow this plan to go forward. It is entirely up to us now.

Dr. Phillips has the full and complete support of this organisation and we look forward to assisting the Minister in any way we can, so that we as citizens may assist ourselves.
Please be assured that it will take ALL of us to be on the same page if we are going to 'SAVE SPANISH TOWN'. Again thanks to Dr. Peter Phillips, Commissioner Francis Forbes, Assistant Commissioner, Mr. George Williams, Superintendent Clifford Blake, St.Catherine North, the Ministry's secretariat, and all the very efficient individuals who worked for the Minister in making his visit to Spanish Town a very smooth one. We were impressed with the manner in which each event was conducted and the respect for time management at each event.
Please come along with us and restore our old Capital to Law and Order. "Let's Take Back Spanish Town".
