THE EDITOR, Sir: THE ONLINE version of your newspaper has allowed me to follow the dress code debate started by Bishop Herro Blair. It is unfortunate in my opinion that so many people are protesting his claim that skimpy dressing can lead to rape. Rape is an issue that no one should take lightly because of the devastation it can cause. To say that the bishop is placing the blame on some women who are raped because of their outfit is ludicrous. I wasn't there, but I believe that all the bishop was saying is this: "Don't give them anymore incentive to carry out their cruel act." Jamaica is suffering from too much crime; now is not the time to ridicule nor score cheap points. Look for the good in each other, hoping to create the best out of it. Wake up, Jamaica, it's time to build a new way. I am, etc., RAY G. STENNETT ray4rs2000@aol.com Larchmont, New York
