Pulling together
published: Friday | September 24, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am living abroad but proud to be a Jamaican. An excellent effort was made by one and all during a
most traumatic time in the nation's history. Everyone pulled together to avert what could have been an even greater disaster. Yes, a few spoiled the nation's efforts by looting and causing pain to some of the brave and dedicated ones, but all in all Jamaicans came through the ordeal.

Well done to my parish of Clarendon, and particularly Beck-ford Kraal. Now the clearing operation begins a time for "all hands to the pump". I am sure that Jamaicans abroad, like myself, shall support the re-building effort in many different ways. Jamaica land we love.

I am, etc.,
