Two stolen cars found scrapped
published: Monday | November 1, 2004

WESTERN BUREAU:

AN EARLY morning operation carried out by the Montego Bay Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) yesterday in Flour Hill, St. James, uncovered the scraps of two stolen cars.

Reports from Peter Salkey, the St. James Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) liaison officer, are that during the operation, bushes along the Flour Hill main road were searched and two cars were discovered scrapped. Checks with the Stolen Motor Vehicle Unit has revealed that one car, a brown Toyota Corolla motor car, registered 7702 EA with chassis number AEII45020919 was stolen on Dome Street in Montego Bay on June 19 this year.

The other car, a white 1990 Toyota Corolla sedan registered 9708 DF with chassis number EE905035040, was stolen from the Roehampton area in St. James on October 22.

No arrests have been made in connection with the find and the Montego Bay CIB is investigating.
