Letter of the day - JLP crisis a national problem
THE EDITOR, Sir: SOME PERSONS may view the dramatic twists and turns in the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) as an internal matter. I regard it as a national problem. Our democracy is threatened. We are heading for a one-party state.

Another senseless murder
THE EDITOR, Sir: THE MURDER of young Joseph Burrows from the NCU is another reminder of the dreadful state of affairs that this country is in.

Black is ugly?
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WRITE in regard to the interviews of our Miss Jamaica World princesses in your newspaper a few Sundays ago.

North-central Clarendon's cry
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS said that while Nero fiddled, Rome burned. This statement which aptly describes the position which the residents of North-central Clarendon find themselves.

Warlord government
THE EDITOR, Sir: I HAVE been constantly reading in the overseas paper and also have seen on the news about the criminal activities in Jamaica. The blame is always on the Government for not doing enough.
