JPS' mission accomplished
BARRING A few isolated cases, the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS), which has more than 500,000 customers, says that persons who lost their power supply during the passage of Hurricane Ivan in September, have had their electricity restored.

Murder suspect still at large after daring escape

PASSERS-BY AND shoppers scurried for cover yesterday as gun shots rang out in the vicinity of the Supreme Court building, downtown Kingston when policemen tried to apprehend an escaped prisoner.


New sewage plant for Kgn and St Andrew
WORK ON a central sewage treatment plant for Kingston and St. Andrew should commence in January, next year, according to Dr. Vincent Lawrence, executive chairman of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC).
