KARMEN BROWN, the diva of decor, opened the spacious Furniture Land store located on 112 Constant Spring Road, last Thursday evening.

The store will provide the, 'ahem', societal élite, with the finest choice of antique furniture. And once the doors were opened, these customers went about seeking new additions to their already luxurious homes. A few pieces including an entire bedroom set were gobbled up within minutes of the official opening. Others weren't so prompt, preferring to browse and compare notes.

Karmen Brown, famous for Karmen's Collections boutiques, is heralded for her innate sense of style. Simply put, she is not skimping on the furniture. These are high-quality products from the world-renowned Michael Amini Signature Series, including pieces from the Paradisio, Monte Carlo and La Francaise collections.

It was more than an opening though. This was a festive occasion, appropriate as Christmas draweth nigh. So la femme Karmen turned the event into a party. Outside, Arabian-esque tents were erected, covering the fine seafood and other tasty delights in store for guests and potential customers. So, while the turntables of Monty Blake from Merritone Disco churned, it was ample opportunity for guests to mingle and enjoy another beautiful November evening.
