OCHO RIOS, St. Ann:
ST. ANN Custos, Radcliffe Walters, is now recuperating in a United States hospital after undergoing an operation on the weekend.
The nature of the custos' illness could not be ascertain, but acting Custos Karl Fuller confirmed that Custos Walters has had a minor surgery. Mr. Fuller said the surgery, which was done on Friday, was successful, and that Mr. Walters is now recuperating.
Mr. Fuller made the disclosure whilst speaking at the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce's Christmas party at Sandals Dunn's River Hotel on Saturday night.
He urged the gathering of business people and other invited guess to remember Custos Walters in their prayers.
Custos Walters left the island last month and is said to be due back home later this month if all goes well.
