Where are the auditors?
published: Wednesday | December 22, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT WAS standard practice, whenever the lotto, cash pot and other drawings were being aired on television by Supreme Ventures, for the auditors to be introduced as some sort of proof that the processing of selecting the winning numbers was free from fraud.

However, has anyone noticed that, for sometime now, these auditors are gone?

I am sure that Supreme Ventures is well aware that many people are asking a lot of questions as to the validity of their games.

This is especially true of the last major prize that was suddenly won after the public began to grumble as to why no one could win. The absence of their auditors has done nothing to lessen the public's suspicions. It seems well-established that the bigger the prize money, the more money Supreme Ventures make, especially from the lotto game.

Maybe Supreme Ventures will be kind enough to tell the public why its auditors have disappeared.

I am, etc.,
