Letter of the day - Joint effort deserves applause
THE EDITOR, Sir: I hope you will allow me to allay the concerns of Mr. D. Anthony Williams, the author of the 'Letter of the Day', of Sunday, December 19, 2004...with regard to the new facilities to be constructed at 35 Grant's Pen Road.

Air Jamaica franchise to subsidise tourism
THE EDITOR, Sir: Once again Air Jamaica is in the news. All those billions of dollars in uncollected taxes, losses, write-offs, lost investments, are enough to confuse the average economist.

Young, gifted and black'
THE EDITOR, Sir: We are truly young, gifted and black. If ever there was a time that I am proud to be Jamaican, it is now, at the ripe 'young' age of 46. I went to the Heineken Startime, and I got my money's worth.

Rude and insulting
THE EDITOR, Sir: LISTENING TO radio talk show host Antoinette Haughton on the morning of Wednesday December 23, she referred to the news headline in the newspapers about the departure of the American Ambassador Sue Cobb from Jamaica.
