Business confidence rising

BUSINESS CONFIDENCE moved from 92 per cent to 108 per cent, between the first and third quarters of 2004, the Index of Business and Consumer Confidence shows.
There was a second quarter spike of 117 per cent in business confidence, while consumer confidence remained largely unchanged moving from 99.9 per cent to 103.2 per cent.
The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce/Jamaica Conference Board will be releasing the results of the 4th Quarter 2004 Indices of Business and Consumer Confidence on Tuesday, January 11. Professor Richard Curtin, Head of
the Survey of Consumers Department at the University of Michigan, will discuss the results.
