EU price cut could refocus sugar
LIVINGSTONE MORRISON, president and chief executive officer of the Sugar Company of Jamaica (SCJ), said the reduction in preferential prices by the European Union (EU) will serve to renew the focus of the sugar industry.


Aid for drought, fire-stricken growers
FARMERS AFFECTED by the prevailing drought conditions in the worst affected parishes, as well as the recent bush fires, are to benefit from a $12.7 million assistance programme approved by Cabinet on Monday.
