Letter of the day - More post office theft?
published: Sunday | March 20, 2005

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PLEASE PUBLISH this letter in the hope that it will be read by the Postmaster General, Mrs. Blossom O'Meally Nelson.

For some time, letters posted to me in U.S.A. and Canada have not been delivered. These letters contained cheques and cash but, unfortunately, were not registered.

I am a senior citizen and need to pay my bills, not the least among them my medical bills.

I am begging the Postmaster General to implement policies and programmes so that unscrupulous persons in the postal system can be identified and punished.

Is it possible that any of my letters might "turn up" one day? What recourse is open to me and others whose letters have not been delivered?

I am, etc.,

BERRIS JAMES

Spring Garden P.O., St. James
