HOT MEN - THE 7TH ANNUAL MEN WHO COOK EVENT
published: Thursday | March 24, 2005

The men who cooked included Health Minister John Junor who has participated in the event each year. This year while the minister did cook, he sent a representative to serve his roast suckling pig and Chinese roast pork.

THEY WERE raising steam over there at the Alpart Sports Club, Spur Tree, St. Elizabeth, on Sunday.

Twenty men from business, politics and government came together for the seventh annual Men Who Cook event and once again displayed their prowess in the kitchen. From DB&G's Peter Bunting, to the National Works Agency's (NWA) Vando Palmer, the men turned up the heat with a range of dishes from ackee and saltfish to Teriyaki chicken.

Some were so proud of their creations they held the ingredients close to their chest. NCB's Winston Lawson, for example, would not part with the secret ingredients in his sweet and sour chicken. The only thing he was willing to let slip was that it had a little NCB flavouring.

The annual Lions Club of Mandeville fundraiser again featured the culinary touches of Health Minister John Junor and the folks at SuperPlus who have participated in the event from the start. GraceKennedy also took part this year with a Grace Ham.
