The Prayer
and
But she will fly
ON 19 April 2005 The Mutual Gallery opened its doors to 'Dimensions' featuring the Tutors of the Jamaica School of Art of the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.
The exhibition is staged in partnership with NCB, Tastee Cheese, Sangster's Liqueurs, Carreras, Capital & Credit Merchant Bank, Ideal Porfolio Services, Securicor and Guardian Life. It comprises 22 participants, most being well-known artists in their own right. They are: Jan Watson, Israel Delmonte, Phillip Supersad, Donnette Zacca, Raymond Watson, Stanford Watson, Lutalo Makonzi, Natalie Butler, Hope Brooks, David Boxer, Paula Daley, Maxine Gray, Petrona Morrison, Margaret Chen, Karen Siynbola, David Dunn, Alison West Martin, Cecil Cooper, Richard 'Von' White, Eugenio D'Melon, Patrick Kitson and Hope Wheeler.
Working in many art forms, these artists have pooled their talent to show their work beside one another. The exhibition therefore is diversified, comprising several media from painting to sculpture and from ceramics to photography, collage and printmaking. The exhibition closes on Friday, May 13, 2005.
All are welcome. Gallery hours are Mon.-Fri from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and Sat. from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
