Sans Souci celebrates anniversary
published: Friday | May 13, 2005

Carreras Group Managing Director, Michael Bernard gets down on the dance floor with Sue McNally and other guests at the celebration.

ON FRIDAY May 6, General Manager of Sans Souci Hotel, Pierre Battaglia and his team of 300 staff, gathered under the stars at the picturesque property to mark their second anniversary as an independent hotel.

Joining the Carreras-owned resort in the festivities were Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Director Paul Pennicook as well as top executives from Carreras, Michael Bernard and others .

Members of the Ocho Rios business community mingled with guests at the hotel for cocktails prior to partaking of a scrumptious buffet of Italian, French, Chinese and Jamaican dishes. And as is customary, the pastry chefs outdid themselves with a wide array of sweetly seductive deserts.

Cellist Sarah Graham and the Ashe Ensemble provided the night's entertainment and the latter enticed guests to the dance floor to try the island's indigenous reggae dance moves.

Mr. Battaglia thanked his team for once again maintaining high standards in all departments and thereby allowing the hotel to win many awards and commendations from international industry organisations.
