A JUDGE, yesterday, ordered 49-year-old businessman and ex-policeman Carlton Dunkley of Mandeville, Manchester to be extradited to the United States of America to be tried for exporting drugs to that country.
Dunkley, who was arrested on a provisional warrant on December 22, last year, appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Gayle in the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. He was charged, following investigations by the police for his alleged involvement in the exportation and distribution of 1000 kilograms of ganja into the U.S.
Forty-three-year-old businessman, Morris 'Deedo' Nembhard will reappear on June 20 to answer to similar charges. Leebert Ramcharan and Donovan Williams, classified as drug kingpins by the U.S. Government last year, are also awaiting extradition hearings.
